Mission Statement:
Creating an acclaimed boys AAU basketball program which develops young men living in our community to excel through hard-work, integrity and perseverance.
Established in Fall 2012, The County Bears is a basketball club based out of Marin County. This club was put together to give younger players (beginning in the second grade) an opportunity to play at a higher skilled level year-round, and, as an affordable option for the parents. Coaching is focused around helping players get the fundamental skills necessary to excel in the sport to prepare them to play at the High School level and beyond. This is a competitive team where we ask for commitment and effort from all players through which each athlete will grow to realize their own potential.

2020 Season: March - July
Tryouts: Marin City Rec Center - Last evaluation on Friday, March 13th
3rd & 4th: 4:30 - 5:30 pm
5th & 6th: 5:30 - 6:30 pm
7th & 8th: 6:30 - 7:30 pm
HS: 7:30 - 8:30 pm
Cost: $1,200 - Cost breakdown is $200/month, or $50 weekly. The Spring travel season includes 8 tournaments, and 2 practices a week. Tournaments will be played in the greater Bay Area (mainly East Bay), along with 1 travel tournament July 3rd to Arizona. All travel, including transportation, accommodations and meal costs associated with player travel is separate and to be covered by families.
Season Dues: MUST BE PAID BY 2/15 OR REQUEST PAYMENT PLAN VIA COACH JO DIRECTLY BY 2/1. Limited scholarship requests also available. An option to pay for the season in two lump sum installments is included in the drop down below. There is a small additional charge to cover fees, if paying via PAYPAL. Those paying by credit card below, please make sure to select the drop down box that is applicable to you. If you are paying for the season in 2 installments, first installment is due 2/15 and second installment is due by 5/1 (player can’t continue with practice or tournaments if second installment isn’t paid). If you'd like to pay by cash or check, please contact Coach for mailing information. Checks are payable to "The County Bears".
Uniform: $150 (this is separate from dues) New uniforms for all County players (including returners) for the 2020 Season. UNIFORM PAYMENT DUE BY 1/20, OTHERWISE CAN’T PROMISE YOUR SON WILL HAVE UNIFORM ON TIME. PLEASE COMPLETE UNIFORM PAYMENT AND SIZE INFO ASAP IN REGISTRATION BELOW.
Refund Policy: The County Program does not offer refunds.
Teams: Boys, 9U - High School
Levels: There will be Select teams, as well as Club teams offered for most levels. Your son will be placed on a team based on his skill level, and where the coaching staff can get him the most playing time and development for the season. All players will be put on a team that try out.
